They were married in 1948, and moved to Victoria, where Guido worked in the oil fields. Their first child, Marty, was born in Kansas, where Guido had been transferred. Leanne liked to point out that Guido’s WW II ship, the USS Altoona, ferried MacArthur’s limosine to the Philippines. Leann died of cancer in 1996.
