Notes for Carl Jonathan Wiederanders | Carl interrupted his college education to join the Air Force and serve in World War II. After the war he graduated from Capitol University in 1947 with a B.A. in Mathematics and Education, later earning an M.A. from Ohio State in 1951. He married Eileen May 20, 1948. Carl taught high school science and math and coached for three years. Then he was recalled into the Air Force and remained an active duty officer for the rest of his life. He earned his degree in Meteorolgy from MIT in 1956. During his military career, the family lived in Germany, Newport News, Virginia, Washington, DC, Hawaii, and Mascoutah, Illinois. Carl died at an early age of heart disease. |
