Wilhelm Reuter’s immigration contract with the Verein was signed in Bremen on September 16, 1844 by Wm. Fehrmann, Vice-Consul of the Republic or Texas. It specified that he would receive 160 acres of land in ’San Antonio County’, and specified the conditions he must fulfill to receive full title to the land. These included: 1. Living on the land for three consecutive years 2. Cultivating at least 15 acres within three years, and 3. Building a dwelling on his land
